MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA) COURSE

The 2-day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course wrapped up successfully. It was a collaborative effort between Rotary International District 3310 Community Service Committee and the Mental Health Association of Sarawak.

This course equips individuals with essential skills to offer initial support and assistance to those experiencing mental health challenges.

After attending MHFA, participants gain the knowledge and confidence to provide crucial support for individuals facing mental health challenges.

Together, we're offering an exclusive discounted Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course. This course equips individuals to provide vital support to those facing mental health challenges or crises until professional help can be accessed.

What You'll Learn:

1. Understanding signs and symptoms of common mental health problems (e.g., depression, anxiety, psychosis, suicide)
2. Providing first aid to people experiencing these problems, specifically on:

• How to approach and communicate with affected person
• Encouraging affected person to seek appropriate professional help
• Knowing where and how to seek professional help
