We are both an international organization and a local community leader. Membership in a Rotary club is by invitation only. Putting together a perfect fit is what you and we are looking at. We want to make sure you join a club that best fits your passion and perspective. Approach and talk to any of our members to be part of us.

MEMBERSHIP

Currently our Club accept two forms of memberships, i.e. admission as Ordinary Members, and as Honorary Members. 

1. Membership Qualification
   1. Ordinary Members
      • Citizenship: Malaysian & Non-Malaysian Citizens
      • Minimum Age: 21 years old and above
      • Location: Kuching, Sarawak
      • Race: All Races
      • Gender: Male & Female
      • Religion: All
   2. Honorary Members
      • Persons who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals and those persons considered friends of Rotary for their support of Rotary’s cause may be elected to honorary membership.
      • The term of such membership shall be as determined by the committee.
      • Honorary members shall be exempt from the payment of dues, and shall not be eligible to any office of this Club.
2. Application of Membership
   1. Every application of membership shall be proposed and seconded by two existing members and shall be forwarded to the Secretary who shall, at the first convenient opportunity, submit to the Committee for approval. The Committee may, at its discretion, reject any application without assigning any reason thereof.
   2. Every applicant, whose application has been approved as aforesaid, shall, upon payment of the prescribed annual subscription, be admitted as a member of the Club and shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership.
   3. Obligation of Members
      • To abide by the riles of the Clubs and it’s resolutions.
      • To pay any donation of subscription punctually according to the provision thereof.
      • In the event of having been elected to the Executive Committee, to refrain from rejecting such election without any reasonable cause.
      • Every member shall notify the Secretary of its change of address, failing which any letter, circular or notice sent to his last resisted address, shall be deemed to have been given to and received by such member for any purpose provided by these rules. 

FEE STRUCTURE

Annual subscription fees of an Ordinary member is RM 1,200.00 (Ringgit Malaysia One Thousand Two Hundred Only), paid semi-annually.

• All semi-annual fees shall be payable to the Treasurer within 30 days of July and January of each year
• The subscription fees are further breakdown as contribution to:
  1. RM 430.00 as membership dues to Rotary International and Digital Print of Rotary Magazine
  2. RM 170.00 as membership dues to Rotary International District 3310 Berhad, and Yayasan Kelab-Kelab Rotary Malaysia
  3. RM 600.00 as membership dues to Rotary Club of Kuching Unity City for club operation and miscellaneous expenses.

APPLICATION FORM

MENTOR-MENTEE

Rotarians provide community service to both local and international communities. This is perhaps the best reason for becoming a Rotarian: the chance to do something for somebody else and to sense the self-fulfillment that comes in the process and return of that satisfaction to one's own life. It is richly rewarding. 

To propel a rewarding journey as Rotarian, a new member or mentee will be paired, or assigned a mentor, to proactively engage with the mentee of Rotary’s knowledge. A mentor can be a sponsor, or a senior Rotarian in the Club who is believed can empower, relate, and amplify vocational strength and professional development of mentee.
